Reed Fox Talks Building Moon Magnet on CU Denver's Lynx Cast

Our founder Reed Fox recently sat down with Paul Musso for an episode of CU Denver's Lynx Cast podcast, and it just dropped!

Reed and Paul first crossed paths through CU Denver's Recording Arts and Music Business program, where Reed studied and now returns as a guest speaker, so this conversation felt like catching up with an old friend as much as recording an episode. Lynx Cast has hosted some great voices from the Denver music scene before this one, including Andy Sydow and Michelle Rocqet.

They talked all things Moon Magnet like how Reed turned a one-person operation into a Denver music company thirteen years running, the risks that came with that, and what Reed has learned mentoring young musicians today. This has shaped how we hire and train teachers here at the school, look for authentic musicians first, and build our teaching approach based on real songs and progress.

Additionally, Reed talks about something a lot of our teachers relate to: the art of balancing being a musician while running a business. Doing both has actually made him better at each one!
