Kids playing instruments together in a rock band class

Rock Band Club for Kids in Denver

Make Music. Make Friends. Make Noise.

A Band Experience for Kids Ages 7 to 14

Unleash your kid’s inner rockstar with Moon Magnet’s Rock Band Club : an immersive 10 to 12 week group program where young musicians collaborate, rehearse, and perform like a real band.

Whether your child dreams of shredding on guitar, rocking the mic, laying down beats on the drums, or jamming on keys, this is their chance to step into the spotlight and learn what it really means to be in a band.

🎸 What Is Rock Band Club?

Rock Band Club isn’t just another music class. It’s a full band, full blast creative journey. In weekly sessions, students form a band with other young musicians and work together to learn songs, rehearse, write their own material, and perform live.

Whether your kid plays guitar, drums, bass, keyboards, or sings, they’ll gain real world experience playing with others just like they would in a gigging band. It’s fun, collaborative, and designed to build confidence, creativity, and stage presence.

My daughter has taken piano lessons through Moon Magnet for the past few years and our teacher's fantastic! He pushes her to learn new skills and develop a repository of songs she loves to play. He strikes the perfect balance between ensuring she is progressing and keeping it fun! I would highly recommend Moon Magnet!

🎶 What Students Do Each Week

Each rehearsal is like a real band practice but with more coaching and a lot more fun. Here’s how a typical week might look:

  • Warmup and tuning
  • Learning and rehearsing cover songs (chosen with the band’s input)
  • Breakout sessions for sectionals (vocals, rhythm, etc.)
  • Group feedback and collaborative arrangement
  • Songwriting and original ideas (if the band wants to try it)
  • End of rehearsal mini performance or recording

We’ll work toward a final concert where each band gets to take the stage and showcase what they’ve created together. Parents, friends, and fans welcome!

Reviews

Our family has been taking lessons with Moon Magnet for over 5 years.  Our oldest took ukulele and guitar lessons and our youngest takes guitar and piano lessons. Their instructor is a true musician, and he is able to teach music techniques and theory in creative ways. He combines learning traditional instruction using lesson books with learning pop and rock songs that are of interest to our sons. My boys like their instructor as a human and respect him as a teacher, which demonstrates his gift for teaching.
