Depending on your teacher's availability, there are four ways to make up a missed lesson:

1. You and your teacher pick a new day and time.
2. Your next lesson doubles up. A 30 minute lesson becomes 60 minutes.
3. Your teacher adds time across multiple lessons. A missed 30 minutes might become two 45 minute lessons instead of two 30s.
4. You schedule a virtual makeup lesson.
   

Whatever fits your family's schedule best.

Makeup credits are good for 15 days from the date of the missed lesson. We'll do our best to remind you as the expiration gets close, but credits not used within that window do expire.

No. Once a makeup lesson is on the calendar, it's your one chance to use that credit. If you cancel it, even well in advance, it's forfeited.
The only exception is if your teacher is the one who cancels the makeup, in which case we reschedule it again or credit your account per our standard policy.

If your teacher can't reschedule a lesson within 1 to 2 weeks, we mark it cancelled and credit your account immediately. If you've already paid for the month, we can apply the credit to the next month's bill or issue a refund.

You will never pay for a lesson your teacher cancelled.

On the 1st of every month.
Monthly students are charged their flat tuition for the month ahead. Per-session students are charged for whatever lessons are on the calendar that month, so if your schedule is changing, just let us know before the 1st and we'll make sure your bill matches your plans.

No problem, just let us know in advance.

If you'll miss 1 or 2 lessons, we'll schedule makeups using any of the options above.
If you'll be gone longer than 2 lessons, you can place your lessons on hold.

Just know that a hold releases your weekly time slot, and we can't guarantee your teacher will have the same opening when you return. We'll do our best to find a time that works, but it may mean adjusting your day, time, or teacher.

Summer lessons are still billed at your standard flat monthly tuition, but we offer prorating based on how many lessons you actually take. Your teacher will plan your summer schedule with you in advance.

Because tuition is prepaid, prorated adjustments show up as credits on your next invoice rather than right away. Each prorated lesson is worth one quarter of your monthly tuition.

In months with five possible lesson dates, no credit applies as long as you still get four lessons.

We take four holiday weeks each year across three scheduled breaks:
the week of Thanksgiving, a two week winter break, and one flexible spring break week that can line up with your family's schedule in March or April.

These breaks are already built into your tuition. Because you pay a flat monthly rate rather than per lesson, your payment stays the same whether a month has more or fewer lesson dates, and holiday weeks never change your bill. Your teacher will remind you as breaks approach.

If a scheduled payment is declined, we'll email you and our system automatically retries the card after 5 days.

If that retry also fails, a $10 late fee is added and your next lesson is paused until the account is current. We recommend keeping a backup payment method on file so lessons never get interrupted.

We ask for at least 2 weeks' written notice so we can adjust your teacher's schedule and offer the slot to another family. You can email or text us, or tell your teacher and confirm it in writing with us.

Tuition runs through the end of the notice period. Any unused prepaid lessons in your final billing cycle can be refunded to your original payment method or kept as a credit, whichever you prefer.

Makeup credits still within their 15 day window can be used before you leave.

Our 48 hour cancellation policy still applies during the notice period.
